Setting the Scene

After a previously losing time due to illness, I was finally able to return to school this week. I continued to plan my experiment. Most of my class time was spent reanalyzing my proposal with a focus on my literature review. I expanded my literature review by reading and citing more peer reviewed articles. I was also able to make my agar media. This was a new experience for me because I have never prepared media myself. Ms. Veilette guided me through the process and I learned how to monitor the agar as it was heating to make sure it became a translucent yellow color. This is an important skill to learn and the more lab experience I get will only help me in the future.
