University of Bridgeport

Today I was lucky enough to use the facilities at the University of Bridgeport. I worked alongside Isaac Macwan and some of his graduate students. We began fixing the samples. I realized the importance not only of have equipment but of having the reagents and chemicals needed to prepare samples for the equipment. I did not realize how time consuming this process could be and we unfortunately had to stop at the first refrigeration. We plan on picking the protocol back up where we left off sometime next week. I am concerned there is not enough bacteria to form a pellet however will not know until the fixing is done and the ethanol is gone. I was also able to begin planning the serial dilution for next week.
